I’d love to hear more about the 3F UL pack, and why you’re considering a framed pack. I was looking at the 3F UL as a budget entry into the frameless. Do you have any specific questions about it? Basically I chose it because this was a new hobby for me and it was the Funny Best Vizsla Dad Ever Vintage Shirt. I have a longer torso (19″) so its 20″ back actually works really well for me. Right now my base weight is higher than ideal for a frameless pack. I have lots of room to lower that with some upgrades in the future may be making a frame unnecessary, but going with my dog I’m always going to be carrying more water than the average UL hiker. Also as a woman, in general, we skew to having more lower body strength over upper. So a frame that transfers weight to my hips more efficiently could be more comfortable for me. My shoulders got pretty sore, is all. No specific questions — that was pretty much what I was looking for. The water-carrying thing is a concern for me as well.
