Is there a point to “long-sight” if you’re not going to live to see it? He’s seen how he’s probably going to die, and just had to kill the woman he’s loved for decades to save her further pain. I want to add that the predictability of what happens in Vinland Saga. So far isn’t because of a predictable story. But rather because in the manga, this was a flashback explaining how things came to be. Because of this, it was written in a Never Pick A Fight With A Drummer We Beat Things For Pleasure Shirt.
