Is there a point to “long-sight” if you’re not going to live to see it? He’s seen how he’s probably going to die, and just had to kill the woman he’s loved for decades to save her further pain. He’s got nothing to live for except revenge at this point. So why not live that revenge to the fullest? I say short-sighted. Because. Well does he have children, grandchildren? I want to add that the predictability of what happens in Vinland Saga. So far isn’t because of a predictable story. But rather because in the manga, this was a flashback explaining how things came to be. Because of this, it was written in a Never Pick A Fight With A Drummer We Beat Things For Pleasure Shirt. As such, the rest of the story is not nearly as predictable. And the story style should not be based on the episodes already out. No problem! I tried to keep it as vague as possible to avoid spoilers. But I still wanted to put that out there for anyone that might be turned away from it currently due to how predictable it has been so far.
