Without all the setup that makes tournament arcs interesting beyond the fights is met with divisive ratings. Even in the “Volunteer Consensus” area, it was all over the place in terms of rankings. Production-wise it’s great, but as of now, I don’t see a reason to care about the story nor characters. We’re only four episodes in so things can obviously change.
